Stephen king is an amazing story teller and the narration in the green mile is superb. You truly feel for the characters in this series and feel part of the world that stephen king has created. The green mile is an incredible story! Although i saw the movie long ago, i had forgotten what happened. Those who travel the mile do not return. The green mile finds kings equilibrium spot, which i think of as magical realism:
